Sarawak Business Federation Launching Ceremony
Sarawak Business Federation (SBF), a new umbrella body representing 11 key organizations and industries has been formed to promote business in the state. It was officially launched by the Chief Minister of Sarawak, YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Haji Adenan Bin Haji Satem on 9th September 2016 at Hilton Hotel, Kuching. The 11 founding members of SBF are as follows: –

The formation of SBF has mark an important milestone in the achievement of the business community in Sarawak. It will protect the interests of the business community and to speak with a united voice on matters affecting the business community in Sarawak. Through SBF, resources will be effectively pooled to fund research and matters important to the whole business community in Sarawak.

1st Annual General Meeting
The newly formed Sarawak Business Federation (SBF) held its inaugural Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 1 November 2016 at DUBS Conference Room, Kuching.

According to its President Datuk Abang Haji Abdul Karim Tun Abang Haji Openg, the SBF has an exciting line-up of events and activities which will include the biennial Sarawak International Business Expo and Conference (SIBEC) and a State Award to honour and celebrate the achievements of outstanding business organisations with significant links to Sarawak.
The President also expressed his thanks to members for their endorsement and vote of confidence and hope that SBF will now speak with one united voice to champion the interest of the business community in Sarawak moving forward.
