(KUCHING, March 27) The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS) donated 500 pillows to a temporary quarantine centre yesterday to assist the Sarawak Government in responding to the COVID-19 outbreak by adding the medical equipment required for the quarantine centre.
All pillows were delivered to Institut Latihan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (ILKKM), Batu 13, Jalan Puncak Borneo, Kuching of which identified by the Sarawak Government as a temporary quarantine centre to quarantine those persons who have had contact with COVID-19 patients.
The donations were handed over by Dato Tan Jit Kee, Deputy President of ACCCIS and well received by Puan Hawa Ragi, Director of ILKKM. Also present were Mr. Kuek Eng Mong, Vice President of Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCGCCI) and Mdm. Lina Tan, Deputy Director of Student Welfare of ILKKM.
In addition, ACCCIS also donated a freezer to the Sarawak General Hospital’s COVID-19 screening centre at Kompleks Belia dan Sukan Negeri Sarawak yesterday to be used for storage of nasal swab specimens.
