Business and Culture Mission to Shaanxi, China
ACCCIS organized a business and culture mission in cooperation with the Northwest University, Xian, China as well as supported by The Consulate General of China in Kuching and Malaysian Consulate General in Xian.
The successful mission took place from 13th to 19th October 2019. Led by Deputy President Dato Tan Jit Kee and Datuk Wee Kok Hui, the mission was aimed to promote mutual cooperation in business relations for Sarawak and Shanxi, and to look for joint collaboration with Shanxi in the hope of bringing mutual benefits to both regions.
It was well planned by ACCCIS Malaysia-China Economic, Trade and Investment Promotion Committee headed by Datuk Wee with 31 members participated. Apart from ACCCIS committee members, others are from Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Sibu Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bintangor Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Simanggang Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Serian Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
The delegation was represented by 23 companies, comprising real estate development and construction, timber and plantation, investment trading, media, project contractor, wholesale and retail, repairing and services.
Programme included courtesy visits to Shaanxi Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Consulate General of Malaysia in Xian, business networking sessions with leading entrepreneurs in Xian and with Zhouzhi’s leading entrepreneurs specializing in agriculture, as well as visited to some tourist attractions.
Overall it was a fruitful mission which gave us the opportunity for good introductions and to establish friendships with our China counterparts.

The meeting ended with a network lunch hosted by Shaanxi Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese which gave everyone the opportunity for a further introduction and discussion in more detail
The afternoon ended with an interesting visit to Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, Datang Furong Garden
