Entrepreneurship Motivation Talk

An Entrepreneurship Motivation Talk has been held on 18th February 2017 at Islamic Information Centre, Kuching. The talk was jointly organized by The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS), Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCGCCI) and Federation of Sarawak Hawkers’ Association (FSHA).

Prominent local entrepreneur Tan Sri Datuk Tiong Su Kouk, who are the speaker shared his success story with over 500 people from all walks of life. He was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth, but he gradually built up his business empire from the RM3.40 his father gave him at the age of 15.

With that insignificant amount of money, he began his career as a fishmonger, expanding his business every step of the way. He was motivated by the Chinese saying ‘to rise to higher level’ which has served as his guide to aim for higher goals and achieve milestone after milestone in his business ventures, inspiring him in his business ambitions in creating a business empire of good repute both locally and internationally.

His business interests ranging from fish and prawn cold storage, aquatic products processing, tiger prawn and organic tiger prawn farming, aquaculture, pourltry, shipbuilding, ship leasing, property development, dressed chicken and food and beverage distribution are all doing well and expanding.
